Bryan:
Congratulations on being nominated the May 2009 Artist of the Month. Tell me a bit about how you got started out in theatre.

Vicki:
I've been acting since high school, did the usual move to Toronto...started studying at the Second City, auditioning...but it wasn't really what I was hoping for so I packed up and hopped on a plane to study further at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.

Bryan:
Who were the people who influenced you the most or inspired you the most to pursue the arts?

Vicki:
Hmm, that's tough, I think I've known I wanted to be an actor since I was in JK.  My family has always been super supportive of my crazy little journeys.  Who inspires me...Kermit.

Bryan:
What is the most memorable performance you've seen to date?

Vicki:
I've seen so many beautiful and funny things, many moons ago I saw Timothy Findleys 'Not Wanted on the Voyage" at Can Stage, that has stuck with me.  I also saw Gary Sinise in "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest", also very memorable.

Bryan:
How much wood could a wood-chuck chuck if a wood-chuck could chuck wood?

Vicki:
Only as much as he needed, he'd try to sustain the forest.

Bryan:
Tell me about an embarrassing moment you may have had while in a show or someone else’s embarrassing moment in a show you have seen:

Vicki:
Embarrassing moments, usually just try to forget those; I did a show with the Second City Conservatory and couldn't keep a straight face, kept cracking up in one scene... what can I say, it was a funny scene.  I played Mary Haines in the women and forgot to take off my wedding ring...I didn't notice until I was proclaiming how great independence was and how I was adjusting to life after the divorce...tried to slip it off casually, but  I'm sure everyone saw it happen.

Bryan:
If you could play any role in any play with any other actors... who would you play, in what show and with who as your supporting cast?

Vicki:
Again, there could be so many answers to this...let's say, "Night Mother" with Meryl Streep, with Howard Shangraw directing!

Bryan:
Thanks for being a good sport, congratulations once again!
