JWR (James Wegg Review) first began publishing on August 21, 2001. Their wide variety of content includes reviews, previews, interviews and commentaries from the intriguing world of fine arts and film. Their motto: "Your global, independent view of fine arts and film" says it all. Recently (January 1, 2009) the primary restructuring of the popular site was completed. The previous one page/one article "static" architecture was replaced with a database-driven (MS SQL) "dynamic" format. The new system offers a much richer experience for their readers with increased search capabilities and easy-to-navigate menus. The official relaunch date is set for March 25, 2009, allowing them to fine tune the new format and add further ehancements, the most recent being "Born Today" on the home page. Because of these improvements, the site now also hosts an International Directory of Fine Arts and Film.
On April 27th, 2009 StKittsTheatre.com and JWR established a partnership providing cross-listings between sites. JWR provides a listing in their database for StKittsTheatre.com - seen by over 7000 members in over 100 countries - and in return you can find links to reviews written by JWR on the live theatre performances in the Niagara Region.
